Meanwhile, Arin, who as a simple slave has become governor of Herran, enforces allies to move away from his country a dangerous enemy and is tearled by suspicion that Kestrel knows much more than he says, and that mint... The truth, however, can do more harm than lies, and when it comes to the surface, Kestrel and Arin will have to contend with the consequences of their choices.
