Scacco matto: Un romanzo giallo in chiave ironica scritto sulle note del valzer della sinfonia numero 40 di Mozart che echeggiava nell'aria, a Nitra, a pochi passi dalla sua amata Vienna, per poi proseguire a Bratislava, étoile sul Danubio e terminare nell'elegante, romantica ed affascinante Parigi. Alice, una donna come tante ora in Italia, che si trova costretta a seguire il marito trasferito per lavoro in Slovacchia, inizia la sua avventura con tanta voglia di riposare dopo un periodo molto turbolento della sua vita. Questo desiderio, in men che non si dica, viene spazzato via non appena si rende conto di essere finita nel turbine della maledizione di un monile antico, appartenente alla famiglia del suo ex fidanzato. Al fine di riuscire a debellare il flagello, fonda una banda di "malviventi" molto singolare, con a capo suo padre settantenne ed hanno così inizio le mille comiche peripezie. Il percorso per giungere alla soluzione del caso sarà molto lungo ed avvelenato da antipatici inconvenienti e il lettore sarà letteralmente coinvolto diventando parte integrante di questa avvincente storia. In order to succeed in eradicating the Scourge, he founded a band of "gangsters" very singular, with his father Settantennae and so began the thousand comical vicissities. The path to arrive at the solution of the case will be very long and poisoned by obnoxious drawbacks and the reader will be literally involved becoming an integral part of this compelling story.
