Oliver Twist

Oliver Twist: Una vagabonda muore, dando alla luce un bambino, Oliver Twist, che resta fino ai nove anni in un ospizio di mendicità da cui fugge. Arriva a Londra e vie- ne introdotto in una banda di borsaioli che deruba il signor Bronlow. Oliver viene per errore scambiato per il vero ladro e arrestato. Bronlow lo discolpa e lo ospita in casa sua. Per ordine di Fogin, viene di nuovo catturato. In un'impresa ladresca Oliver è ferito e salvato dalla signora Maylie. Fagin continua a cercare il ragazzo con Monks, uno strano personaggio che odia Oli- ver. Infine Bronlow fa arrestare Fagin e si scopre che Monks è un fratellastro di Oliver che, per togliergli la sua quota d'eredità, voleva ucciderlo.
