Anatomy of the Heart by Multislice Computed Tomography
New multislice computed tomography (MSCT) machines are now capable of essentially digitizing the anatomy of an average human body into over a half billion individual voxel (volume element). Given this high spatial resolution, MSCT offers superb 3D images of the entire heart and great vessels. Relationships between cardiac structures can be shown as never before, providing new understanding to cardiac imaging trainees, cardiologists, radiologists, interventionists, and electrophysiologists, and closing the long lasting gap between "applied" imaging and true anatomy.
