Chiodo scaccia chiodo...: Un problema organizzativo preoccupa la Dottoressa Bones, Direttore del reparto di Ortopedia e Traumatologia del St. Maurice Hospital: la strumentista più esperta si è infortunata e il giorno dopo un complesso intervento dovrà essere eseguito. Tutto sembra andare per il meglio, ma il giorno dell'intervento un altro problema, ancora più complesso, se possibile, si pone alla Dottoressa Bones e all'équipe: la Paziente non solo non si è fratturata il collo del femore come annunciato, ma anche il chiodo endomidollare che aveva per una pregressa frattura, risulta influsso su un femore allora sano come adesso.
